Care
In maintaining the condition of your IMAGO-A products, avoid contact with water (though our materials can endure light contact with water), grease, perfume and cosmetics as well as rough or abrasive materials. Please also avoid contact with fabric or surfaces with loose dye, which could transfer and stain the products.
When storing our handbags, please keep stuffing inside to maintain the bag’s shape, and keep in the dustbags provided. Avoid putting under heavier items when storing. When squished, the products can suffer permanent marks and/or folds that could be hard to get rid of. Keeping the products in extreme humidity and heat could also cause deformation.
To clean your leather, wipe with a clean, non-abrasive, soft, dry cloth. In case of contact with water, use a clean, dry cloth and apply a gentle tapping motion to absorb the liquid. If stains occur, dab the area with a damp, soft cloth and allow to air-dry. Seek professional cleaning if necessary.
To remove light scratches, apply a small amount of clean oil, vaseline, or lotion on a clean, soft cloth or paper towel and rub on the affected area. Do not use oil on suede, nubuck leathers, and textile materials.
Applying leather conditioner with a soft, clean cloth regularly helps moisturize the leather and keep it in great condition. Do not use leather conditioner on suede and nubuck leathers.
For suede and nubuck leathers, it is recommended to apply water/stain protective spray before use. Make sure to spot test in an area that is not so visible (e.g., inside or bottom of the bag) and check to ensure there is no discoloration. For light stains and dirt, clean with a clean suede brush by vigorously rubbing on the surface. Suede erasers work great on tougher stains that a brush cannot take care of. Do not use water to clean suede and nubuck. Seek professional cleaning if necessary.
To spot-clean textile products, combine a small amount of mild detergent with water and use a clean cloth or cotton to dab a small amount of the solution onto the stained area and blot the spot dry with a fresh cloth or cotton. Seek professional cleaning if necessary.
